Ironically between Abdullah and I, he is the one who enjoys shopping the most. On dreary rainy days we would oftentimes go to one of the local malls more to walk around and window shop. However if Abdullah went shopping on his own, he would never return empty-handed. He might find something for the house, or a new tie for him as he loved to collect ties, or he would even surprise me with something he picked out. In addition to his enjoyment of shopping, he has a keen sense of style and excellent taste. The few times I’d be looking for a special outfit he would happily accompany me and help me shop and give me advice.
One time Abdullah went shopping on his own and really surprised me. He returned to our house with a big box which he presented to me. When I opened it up I found it contained a lovely pair of leather boots that zipped all the way up to the knee. Now Abdullah really did not know my shoe size and when I opened the box up he remarked “they look like they should fit you.” And sure enough, they were a perfect fit! I found it amazing that he was able to buy boots for me with the size unknown like that. Shoes were another one of Abdullah’s collectables along with ties.
If we had an occasion which required giving a gift, he was the one who would go out and find the perfect gift. My family in the USA also celebrates Christmas. Abdullah took such enjoyment and pride in finding unique stocking stuffers for them.
He has passed on but his gifts of love remain to serve as visible memories of his love and generous nature.

Carol,
It was indeed an enjoyable experience to have a companion who knew exactly what suited you and your family – and took care to buy exactly the right kind of gifts!
Hi Daisy,
He also had that natural talent! And it made him feel so good to do so too.
Carol, I love checking back each night to read about your Prince:) He really was an amazing man. One of a kind, I’m sure, but it gives me hope that there really are good fish in the sea.
Thank you for sharing so much about such a wonderful man, and the life you two shared together.
You’re welcome Mandi and thank you for your kind comments.
Dear Bedu,
I was very touch over your blog and I hope to continue reading good things about everything. I am living in KSA for almost 10 years now myself. Continue the good work, May Allah Bless you:)
Thank you for your comment Rose and welcome to the blog.
It’s sweet to read these posts and think what a wonderfully generous person your prince was.
Oh Susanne, he really did have a pure heart of gold.
:’( I feel so much for you, and I can’t stop reading your Saudi Prince posts even though everyone at work thinks there’s something wrong with me every time I look like I’m going to cry.
Oh Gosh Andrea…I don’t want to make you cry. I miss my Prince and always will but when you read those posts, have a big smile of happiness on your face for the precious times we were able to experience. My life would have been much much emptier without Abdullah having entered into it and touching me.
