I have no idea about the Bloomin’ Onion but we don’t eat Monterey Jack, cheddar cheese or ranch dressing so I don’t know what’s so Aussie about those fries. Now if you wrapped them up in newspaper and covered them in tomato sauce then we’d be talking :) . Ahh well, still looks mighty tasty and I do like a good steak coupled with a kitch interpretation of home.. so I’m sure I’ll be making a visit sometime.

It is indeed an Australian Outback Steakhouse with headquarters in Florida.

And a word of advise for those who do order the bloomin’ onion…make sure to have a large group when ordering and share! And it is also best to eat very lightly if at all when planning to go to the Outback for dinner. Portions are very generous!

Also BEWARE the bloomin onion. It’s one of the worst foods you can purchase at a restaurant coming in at 2,210 calories and 134 grams of fat per dish! That’s almost an average person’s daily caloric intake.
