If you do not agree with me on the title of this post I sure look forward to hearing from you on why you think differently.

OK…what the hell was that????
Reminds me of the stupid young kids(almost always males) here in the US who do dumb things like try to race across the train tracks a nano second before the speeding train rips by, or drag race each other on a highway in the middle of the night going in THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION that traffic is supposed to go just to add an extra thrill to it.(at least they wait until it isn’t too crowded on the road)
Thank you Carol for confirming that youth, testosterone and idiocy are a worldwide commodity!
No offense to the male readers of this blog!
OMG!!!
I agree 100% with you carol.
His parents raised him and cared for him and he grew up got educated ( i assume) and instead of using his god give gifts he’s risking life and limb for cheap thrils…he is not just an idiot he should be in an asylum.
Unless he had a mental issue, drugged or drunk i would NOT treat him if he ever got injured . I’d request his folks to sign his organs up for donation, they are wasted on him.
I’d sign his organs up for donation ,
I agree with ya!
I guess if Allah wanted the guy dead he’d die here or walking his doggy (haram).
Yeah…………that was really stupid.
….and if something had happened to him it would of been the poor drivers fault. I know the truck drivers in this part of the world have a bad reputation. But their lives are made worse by the stupidity and impatience of many drivers on the roads. People don’t seem to take into consideration the stop time it takes for a vehicle hauling the loads they carry.
What a complete moron!
@Radha – I don’t think his organs would even be in any kind of condition to be used if he was run over by that truck!
Radha,
That’s right, his organ should be donated away.
THERE ARE GOOD PPL AND BAD PPL EVERY WHERE AS THERE R STUPID AND SMART PEOPLE EVERYWHERE
that’s a good point about what ramifications there would be if he were hit by the truck and who would be at fault…
very true Mustafa and welcome to the blog!
ok i agree that’s a total stupidity
It looks like the stupidity of young men everywhere.
More like : ‘Jackass Goes to Saudi’ No, I don’t know if the Jackass boys are even THAT stupid. You have to wonder if he practiced the stunt much? I’m thinking that the truck must have been in on this. He didn’t seem to even attempt to slow down or swerve or anything!?
What a wacko? But maybe the guy wanted to commit suicide and failed? Better luck next time…………LOL!
@Lynn,
If you’ve been on some of the Saudi highways which stretch for miles with nothing in site it would not surprise me that the guy just waited for “his moment” and let’s hope the poor truck driver did not later have a heart attack!
That was really crazy of him to do.
I was surprised reading the title.
Madness has club members every where.
@Mohammed – I simply could not think of another title as I watched it several times. I certainly do not intend any offense at Saudi or Saudi Arabia but that guy…yes, he is certainly crazy. What on earth is he going to do next to try and top it?!
@American Bedu
The late writer and radio personality Jean Shepherd said that one shouldn’t peak in high school. I don’t know the age of the man, I think he has peaked too soon
Can u imagine if the driver had tried to swerve to avoid…as is the natural inclination….ouch.
hi,
this is not real video .
this is a commercial video for m3com . com
which this site belong to STC (Saudi Telecom Company )
because they want ppl see videos on their site..
and i want say something else
that stupid people everywhere
if you have seen the (jack ass) guys then you know what i’m talking about
and they do things more stupid than this .
i’m saying that because i dont like that when
you said (Saudi stupidity )
if you said someone or just stupidity is better
@Jerry,
Yes…I do think the young man indeed peaked too soon!
@coolred,
You’re right, he is so fortunate the truck did not swerve. Maybe the driver was simply on auto-pilot. It is easy to get mesmerized driving on those long stretches of desert highway.
Yazeed,
Welcome and thanks for your comment.
I have a question…if it is not a real video, do you know how it was in fact made? I’d be very curious.
And as I mentioned in an earlier comment in no way did I mean to insult Saudis or Saudi Arabia. Honestly, I went with the first thought that came into my mind as I viewed the video.
You are also correct in that Jack a$$ guys definitely merit the title stupid too!
@ American bedu
I know you didn’t mean it.
there who are sensitive toward labeling their own nationality because we want the best to our nation(s). when someone does good he’s praised by his country when he does the opposite “he’s doing on his own”, “He’s not one of us”
at the end all human came from Adam and Eve.
thanks.
i strongly agree with you American bedu, that man is a total jackass!
@Mohammed,
I like your comment about ‘doing it on his own and not one of us.’ I think that is an apt description to apply to the individual in the video and equally in other incidents which are tragic but isolated.
Regards, Carol
Hi American Bedu ,
thanks for your response
ya actually i know how they did it .
the road has 2 lanes the truck was in the front lane (to the camera)
and the guy was in the rear lane , and because the truck is high
it seems that the guy underneath the car .
it’s an old camera trick , if you search in (YouTube) you will see
other videos exactly like this
but i think they are french or russian
i dont know.
@yazeed,
I’m sure many of us will be rewatching the video very closely.
Even if it was arranged, it still is a pretty stupid stunt that could inadvertantly give encouragement to bored guys to think they could actually try this. ):
Well if it IS just made up for a Saudi business then I would have to say that Saudi Business is pretty damned STUPID to be encouraging a stunt as stupid as this one. What would be the point of this video if not to encourage others to top their stunt?
Hi,
it’s not Not necessarily they did it as i said
maybe they took it in more than one shot
like they filmed the guy alone and filmed the car moving and merge it
together in one video
it is all about the director ideas and how it will be taken !
i don’t think it is stupid , they did more dangerous stunt in the movies !
but i agree with you it may encourage some guys to do it .
and i want response to Lynn
i don’t you said the Saudi Business is stupid standing for one video !
have you seen (Evel Knievel) , and his (Stupid) stunts
does that mean the US have a (stupid Business)
after all i haven’t seen another Saudi commercial do (dangerous) things or even a show , so it is not something they do it all the time
at least in Business.
Hi
I really feel offended by the title ,especially when you imply that those kids reckless acts are an example for how we behave ..
And we know that video is just w well montaged clips collected together to make a contraversal and daring ad campain
@Samia – welcome to the blog and thank you for your comment. I understand how you may feel offended by the title. It simply is what went through my mind on viewing that video, whether staged or not. Such a video just tends to give anyone with too much time on their hands wrong ideas to try!
And I assure you that any similar kind of video produced by an American would certainly be titled (by me) as Stupid American.
What was it Forest Gump said “Stupid is as stupid does…”
Samia, this post did not at ALL seem, to me, to be implying that those kids’ reckless acts are an example of how Saudis behave.
Yazeed, ‘Evel Knieval’ was a business, a private business based in the US. So yes, he was a US business. If you want to say he was stupid then you are welcome to your beliefs and you could then call him a stupid US business. So? I’m sure there are plenty of stupid American companies. As an American am I to be offended that you would say that? Absolutely not.
One thing that is different about the stunt cyclist and this person laying in the middle of a street is that Evel’s stunts were real stunts not something staged to look like a stunt. I really would like to know what the intened purpose of this video was?
