Skiing in Saudi Arabia

In the Emirates when people expressed an interest in wanting to ski an indoor downhill ski slope was built inside the Dubai Emirates mall, one of the popular shopping malls. http://www.skidubai.com/ Now Saudi Arabia is also very much like the Emirates not receiving snow and having the proper terrain where people can ski. But unlike the Emirates, an indoor ski slope has not been built yet. As a result, those Saudis who desire to have the experience of what it would be like to ski have to use their imaginations. The following video illustrates how some Saudi youth have created their “work around solution.”

  3. considering all the things that are done in this country by the youths. This is mild and I think I’m becoming immune and in my head I’m thinking “that isn’t so bad” :)

  10. First it was drifting, next was “skating”. After that it was the dancing “mutawas”. Now we have skiing Saudis. I wonder what’s next?

  12. Bedu, the mind boggles: I cannot imagine anything more insane than the videos you’ve allready treated us too.

But, as there are entirely too many people on the planet, and the ones there are are pretty low standart, I don’t think any of us should interfere with Darwinian evolution in process.
    Just enjoy…

  13. like your comment, Aafke and like I said earlier…stay tuned! Plenty of fodder to choose from here…
