The Test Your Knowledge of Saudi Quizzes have been very popular with the readers. I have decided to make a monthly quiz that I will post at the end of each month. These are a little more challenging, but all of the answers can be found in the posts I made this month. Cheating is allowed, just do not brag
Enjoy the quiz:

Yihaaaa!!!! 800!!!!!
And without re-reading, or cheating!
I am só cool!!!!
I got the national anthem wrong, I hope king Abdullah won’t be angry with me!
Anyway, try to better thàt score in an honest way dudes!!!!
I rock!
That’s great Aafke!!! I guess it depends which choice you made regarding the national anthem! (smile)
Yep…you rock!
@Aafke,
Well, if that’s the only place where you erred, then I would say that you should have a perfect score, simply because the answers were misguiding.
The so called “correct answer” had the word “beloved” in it, which cannot be found in the real national anthem, so technically that answer shouldn’t count as a mistake.
Yesssss, You ROCK!!!
@Carol,
Hehehehe, sorry Carol for pointing out the mistake in the open! I just wanted Aafke to feel better bout herself. (Psst, its her birthday today!) I’m sure you’d understand.
And as Carol instructed us not to brag I kept it demure.
I did fall over the beloved, not to the detriment of king Abdullah, but if he dies, considering the next in line ones I cannot combine them with the adjective ”beloved” .
I did BADLY! Only 500 here so definitely no bragging! LOL
So Nader….how did YOU do?
Aafke – we are indeed very proud of you. So we will be “undemure” for you.
Umm Ibrahim – That’s not bad and I hope you enjoyed!
I missed the anthem and when u started blogging…I must confess I didnt know u then…my bad. I have to complain though…when i finished the test it just froze when it came to giving a result…so I might not be calculated in the %.
That baby in the pic is still soooooo cute….sigh.
I don’t know. Carol. I think I should be registered to see my score, right?!
I know though that I didn’t do as well as Aafke did! She rocks!!!
My years away from the Kingdom now show– I missed a few. I did catch the “beloved” inclusion, but the other three answers were obviously wrong.
Idea for future quizes: The various hospitals are known for their specialties. Which is which, etc., or, common Arabic words that most people know, or, the meaning of Arabic names, or, the names of the shopping malls.
Your quizes are fun (as is your blog), and help keep me connected with my second home.
Thanks everyone for your comments!
Coolred – sorry to hear that the quiz froze on you. )-:
Nader – No; you do not have to register to see your score. It will automatically show after you’ve completed the quiz.
Marahm – those are great suggestions and in fact…I’m already working on the next quiz which I am sure everyone will enjoy!
Wow I failed that miserably.
I bet you now know more trivia about KSA than before through, right Abid?
900, I did not want to share my score yesterday so Aafke can feel great about her measly 800 at for her birthday
I missed that question about the start of the blog. Carol, who did you expect to get that one? An americanbedu nerd perhaps?
Aafke, I am kidding, 800 is super cool. If the questions were about the Netherlands I will be lucky to get 500.
Saudi in US, I got a 900 too. I had no clue of the start date for Carol’s blog. Cute remark of being an americanbedu nerd. I am sure, we might have some here.
Carol, what is the prize for receiving 900? I could use some dates from KSA…:)
S H,
Dates from KSA? Are you out of your mind? The commission will be all over you in a heart beat.
Saudi in US,
LOL, you are funny! Yes, what was i thinking.
I am going to have nightmares after looking at the photograph on the Muttawa article. And here I am thinking of dates, God help me!
Actually preparing this quiz was fun and also kind of sentimental when I decided to see who knew when I made my first post…because of course it inspired me to go back and read my earliest posts, bringing back not only so many memories but making me more aware of my own focus and transition to life in KSA.
Regarding Saudi Dates, I do not know for certain if this program still exists with all the changes that have taken place, but at least when I was in the USA, if a muslim sent a written request (fax or letter) to the Saudi Embassy, attention Islamic Affairs Department, stating you were a muslim and requesting Saudi dates for Ramadan, you’d receive a shipment of dates via UPS or FEDEX. This program was not widely advertised but I thought it was a lovely gestue and of course the dates from KSA cannot compare to dates from anywhere else in the world! (smile)
Carol, I was just teasing about the dates. My family has already sent me dates from back home.
Thank you
That’s great S H and Ramadan Kareem to you too!
By the way S H, what part of KSA is home if you don’t mind my asking?
thanks for the quiz. i got 500
You are welcome deepdowne. I realize this was a tougher quiz so I think any score 500 and above is decent. Even my Saudi spouse did not get all the answers correct including when I made my first blog post!
