I am sure that for those who do follow my blog routinely it has been noticed that I had not been posting as often.  This was not by my choice but rather more of an enforced hiatus.  We finally shifted to our new villa but unfortunately getting a working phone line and internet access has taken much much longer than anticipated.  Whereas in the West one would expect to be able to call the local telecom provider or internet service provider and have instant access, here in the Kingdom these services can take time.  The time is further delayed by requesting such services during Ramadan when not only are businesses having shortened hours but staff who are also fasting  which further impedes their ability to respond.  It appears that in our particular house a complete overhaul and rewiring of the telephone lines will be necessary in order to have internet (as well as a working phone line).  It is unlikely this will take place until after Ramadan.  So therefore in the interim I am continuing to compose my thoughts and observations and post them as opportunities arise where I can access the internet.
